The first amendment rights are freedom of speech, religion, the press,assembly,and the right to petition.Freedom of speech gives you the right to say whatever you want, as long as it's not going against other things in the constitution. Freedom of religion give us the rights to practice what ever religion you want freely. Freedom of the press gives us the right to write whatever we want, and express our feelings. Freedom of assembly gives us the right to get in groups and discuss things. The right to petition gives us the right to go against something we don't want.
A citizens duties include obeying the law,pay taxes, and defend the nation Obeying the law is important because if we didn't it would be complete chaos. We have to pay taxes to help with stuff throughout our state. Our last duties is to defend out nation, which is important because we would not want our nation to be attacked.
A citizens responsibilities include knowing what the government is doing, vote, informed about our rights, supporting your family,accepting responsibility for your actions, and respecting diversity. Knowing what the government is doing will help you get a better knowledge of what's going on in America and help you understand it. Voting is a very important responsibility because your having your say in what you want for the nation, and you get to express your opinion freely. You should be informed about your rights, so you know what ones you have in a time of need. You have to support your family, because that's a normal responsibility. You have to accept responsibility for your actions, because you did and you have to accept the responsibility. You have to respect diversity, because America is very diverse, and our motto is the land of the free.
